When accompanied by lyrics, music is — I feel — a form of literature. Then again, I write songs as wells as poems, short stories, and novels, so I have my natural biases. (On the other hand, I also feel that film is a form of literature, and I’ve never made a film.)

There are stories and then there’s literature. Your music is literature. Well written and complete. Literature, in any form, is getting harder and harder to come by. The lyrical, literate storyteller seems all but gone.
